Direct Community Support
Our Direct Community Support Initiatives are dedicated to supporting community-led projects and programs that help us move closer to a just and sustainable food system.
Each year, we identify projects and programs that build on the previous year’s work or allow us to address a new, unmet need in the community.
Community Microgrants
At HHI, we are dedicated to strengthening nonprofits, businesses, community projects, and individuals committed to promoting food security and access. Our Microgrant and Microloan Programs are designed to provide efficient support while building capacity for other leaders in our community who are addressing critical needs.
Financing Climate-Smart Agriculture
‘Financing Climate-Smart Agriculture in Ohio’s Miami Valley’ is a performance-based payment program for growers in southwest Ohio who want to improve their soil quality, a key component to growing healthier, nutritious foods.
Hall Hunger Initiative is excited to partner on this project and is offering a $500 sign-on bonus to the first 10 growers to join in 2024.
Miami Valley Community ID Program
The Miami Valley Community ID Program (MVCID) is a collaborative effort proudly supported by the Hall Hunger Initiative. Our program ensures that every member of the community has access to a non-government-issued ID, an essential key to accessing basic resources.
