Working with stakeholders on issues related to production, financing, and access to nutritious and culturally relevant foods is key to achieving equity and sustainability in our food system.

We partner with other NGOs, government agencies, and community advocates to work toward this common goal of food justice in the Miami Valley region.

The Alliance to End Hunger

The Hall Hunger Initiative’s participation with The Alliance to End Hunger aligns us with a national coalition of corporations, non-profits, faith-based organizations, universities, foundations, international organizations, and individuals. We recognize our shared national goal of ending hunger is both essential and possible.

Montgomery County Food Equity Coalition

Entering its fifth year, the Hall Hunger Initiative is proud to be one of the Montgomery County Food Equity Coalition’s founding organizations. The Coalition strives to support a food system where all people regardless of personal identity, race, religion, income or ability, can access and afford a healthy diet.

National Farmer’s Market Week Annual Celebration

Through a partnership with Dayton’s Five River Metroparks we’re excited to announce our ongoing support of National Farmer’s Market Week. Please join us in celebrating our local growers the first week of each August at Second St. Market in downtown Dayton.

Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association

The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) is a non-profit organization that advocates for sustainable, healthy food systems. OEFFA's mission is to create a future where organic farmers thrive, local food nourishes communities and agricultural practices protect the environment.

Agraria cultivates community resilience by modeling regenerative practices that restore ecosystem health, heal our relationship with the land, and grow just and equitable food systems.

The Foodbank, Inc. has been the primary source of food for the hunger relief network in the Miami Valley for over 40 years. They work with a network of partner agencies to acquire and distribute food.

Gem City' Market’s mission is to serve, engage, and empower our neighborhoods by providing affordable, high-quality food in a clean and welcoming environment that is both worker and community-owned.

Good Neighbor House works to empower healthier communities by fostering the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of our neighbors.

Homefull offers housing, financial assistance, advocacy, and education to families and single adults who are experiencing housing instability.

House of Bread is a community kitchen that provides nutritious meals to anyone in need to prevent hunger and serve as a bridge to beneficial community resources.

Miami Valley Meals collects donated food from local farms, restaurants, and food distributors, and then employs chefs to create meals that serve almost 4,000 people per week.

With God’s Grace uses mobile food pantries to help families in need with their physical hunger as well as their spiritual and emotional hunger.

Inclusive Fairborn is dedicated to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusivity in Fairborn, Ohio. Their mission is to alleviate poverty and empower individuals from all backgrounds.
